Ant-Man 3 Trailer Reveals Scott Vs. Kang Fight & MCU's MODOK
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, releases its final trailer. Phase Four came to an end in 2022, wrapping up the first chapter of the Multiverse Saga for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the MCU is far from done with alternative universes, as the franchise is about to go even deeper into the multiverse. For 2023, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will start Phase Five as the miniature franchise wraps its trilogy. However, the Ant-Man sequel will play a crucial role in the Multiverse Saga since Kang the Conqueror will take center stage in this story.
As promised last month, Marvel Studios unveiled a new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania during the National College Football Championship game.

What The Ant-Man 3 Trailer Reveals
Similar to previous Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailers, the footage gives a glimpse of Scott and Hope van Dyne's lives after the events of Avengers: Endgame. With Cassie Lang now older, Scott is coming to terms with raising a teenage daughter, and she is following in similar footsteps. With the Quantum Realm taking center stage in the story, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer reveals a lot more of Kang the Conqueror. It doesn't take long for Kang and Ant-Man to eventually be on opposite sides, as a showdown is seen towards the end.
While Kang will be a major antagonist in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the MCU installment will see the arrival of another iconic foe. After years of fans demanding to see him in the MCU, the Ant-Man threequel will feature the arrival of M.O.D.O.K. The footage gives the first proper look at Marvel's mutated-cyber villain as he is seen attacking at one moment. Up until this point, M.O.D.O.K. had only been seen through merchandise. Even though his face is glimpsed at one point, it's still unclear who is playing M.O.D.O.K. in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Why Ant-Man 3 Will Be Crucial For Phases 5 & 6
Even though Kang will be a driving force in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, this is simply the beginning of Jonathan Majors' character. The trailer serves as a good reminder that Kang is the ultimate big bad of the Multiverse Saga. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer cleverly points out that the film will "witness the beginning of a new dynasty" as a nod to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. That is why this movie will be instrumental for Phases Five and Six, being more than just a trilogy finale for the Ant-Man franchise. Time will tell where Kang goes next in the MCU after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, but for now, fans will not want to miss the Phase Five starter next month.
