Racing Underground

This is a dedicated auto/moto racing tracker. I was surprised T-I did not have a RU review. So, here it is :)

The main attraction of this tracker is a substantial number of dedicated uploaders and encoders for races (V8 and NASCAR in particular) you will not find on general trackers or on SSC. There might be another place that tracks such specific content, but I don't know about it yet :).

Because of this unique content, you are not allowed to post stuff you downloaded from RU to any other tracker! I can't stress enough this
being the biggest offense you can commit on this tracker!

RU does not have ratios, in conventional way. It does track "difference", which is positive (if you have ratio greater then 1) or negative (if your ratio is less then 1). You are allowed to have a -100GB difference, before tracker staff will begin to take notice :). That said, RU is not a difficult to seed tracker. I have comfortable positive differance without ever downloading something for the buffer.

Another thing to note is that you are not allowed to "overseed" individual torrents to a ratio greater then 2.5. This rule is not enforced right now, but you should keep your eyes on site news, just to be on the safe side :)

You will gain invites after you have been upstanding member for three months and your "difference" not worse then -100GB :). Basically, if you are a good member, you will get invites. The number and friquency is decided by staff. There is no set rule for this.

Warning system
We have a new warning system in place, which means that you get up to 3 warnings before your account gets removed. Please, do not think that you can get away with everything. Warnings can be given for any reason. Just remember, three warnings means you're out of here. Warnings can be given for site behavior or frequent/constant hit 'n runs.

Member rankings
There currently are 12 user ranks which we use on Racing Underground

* Disabled - This should be obvious, you don't want to be labeled with this 'rank'.
* Rookie - Our default rank. Every new member starts as a Rookie.
* Second driver - A member that has a GB difference of 75 GB (+).
* First driver - A member that has a GB difference of 250 GB (+).
* Vice-champion - A member that has a GB difference of 750 GB (+).
* World-champion - A member that has a GB difference of 3 TB (+).
* Racing legend - A member that has a GB difference of 5 TB (+).
* Racing god - A member that has a GB difference of 10 TB (+) or more.
* VIP - A member that has donated to Racing Underground will receive the VIP status.
* Moderator - Moderators will moderate the site, torrents and forums.
* Administrator - Administrators will administer the site, torrents, forums and its users.
* RU God - 'Nuff said...

Racing underground has no ratios, but it uses the GB Difference to determine which rank you've reached. The Disabled 'rank' is only set by Admins and above, the other ranks will be automatically assigned by the system. The Moderator and Administrator ranks are only appointed by your Gods...

Uploading rules
Everyone can upload torrents. Please do not add a file if it's already uploaded several times (IE. live captures), unless your capture is unique. When in doubt, ask a moderator or above and we might make an exception.

* Video files smaller than 15 MB or shorter than 120 seconds are NOT allowed.
* Picture packs smaller than 25 MB are NOT allowed, any packs smaller in size will be deleted. (UPDATED!)
* Remove file extensions from the file names (avi, wmv, zip, rar, etc.).
* No unnecessary usage of the rar format allowed, it prevents people from reseeding older files.
* Use the naming scheme mentioned on the upload page when possible.
* Add file info if it's at your disposal. Download GSpot or Media Info to get the wanted information.
* Make sure your torrents are well-seeded for at least 24 hours after uploading.
* Always add a complete description of the file. Or at least try to give a decent description.
* Games, movies, music and all other crap isn't allowed and will be immediately deleted. A warning might follow.
* Do not seed more than 3 or 4 torrents at a time if you don't have the connection for it. Most connections are not capable to seed a large amount of torrents.

Forum rules

* No language other than English in the forums, unless stated otherwise.
* No aggressive behaviour or flaming in the forums.
* No trashing of other peoples topics (i.e. SPAM).
* No systematic foul language.
* No bumping... (All bumped threads will be deleted.)
* No images larger than 400x400, and preferably web-optimised.
* No double posting. If you wish to post again and yours is the last post in the thread, then please use the EDIT function instead of double posting.
* Please ensure all questions are posted in the correct section!
* Use the option to add polls wisely. Do not start polls to see what kind of underwear you need to wear tomorrow.
* Don't use all capital letters, excessive exclamation marks (!) or question marks (?). It will look like you're shouting.
* No consistent off-topic posts allowed in the forums (i.e. SPAM or hijacking).
* No excessive advertising, mechandising or promotions are allowed in the forums.
* Last, please read the FAQ before asking any questions!

Other rules
Signatures:

* Keep signatures (site and forum) to a decent size. Images for forum sigs can't be wider than 400 pixels wide and 125 pixels high or exceed the maximum of 255 characters. Administrators will delete signatures if you they don't match these rules.
* The info block on your profile page is there to inform, not to advertise. We also dislike the idea of you adding wallpapers in that section.
* Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged text.

Avatars:

* Be considerate. Resize your images to a width of 140 pixels and a file size of no more than 200 kb.
* Do not use potentially offensive material involving porn, religious material, animal / human cruelty or ideologically charged images. Mods have wide discretion on what is acceptable.

Request section:

* Use the search function before adding your own request.
* Do not add more than 8 requests a month.
* When adding a request, try to be as detailed as possible.

Use of spoilers:

* Use the spoilers tags [spoiler]your text here[/spoiler] when adding spoilers in your description.
* Do NOT add spoilers in the RU Box. This will get you a warning or even worse, a ban.
* Visit the 'Spoiler & News Section' subforum in our forums if you wish to discuss races/raceweekends.

RU Box:

* Keep ALL spoilers out of the RU Box.
* No foul language is allowed in the RU Box.
* Re-adding your shouts to stay on top of the RU Box is forbidden.
This is considered as spam and will result in a warning.
* The RU Box is not intended to be used as an advertising point for your own site. Please keep that in mind.
