This was an excellent educational torrent site, however it has been off the air for over a month or more now. Sad as I was a 10+ year member of the site. Seems like it may be gone forever...

I too was a long time member here. Sadly, it's gone. Does anyone know what country it was hosted?

Best educational tracker out there. It's been down for weeks. There's a vague message in their IRC channel, so it's not 100% down. Still a chance it might come back.

There was an update in their IRC Channel which sounds like very bad news:

"I just would like to announce that after little feedback from others and from what I know about the current
situation, the chances of us coming back online are VERY slim. I'll update if I hear anything further, BUT
personally I think it's the end. I am so sorry it has come to this and I HOPE I am wrong."

Bad news :(

Keep checking... BitMe's story isn't over yet. The BitMe that you used to know likely won't be returning, but something for the community could arise in a new form.

There has been another update in the BitMe irc channel:

"Keep checking... BitMe's story isn't over yet. The BitMe that you used to know likely won't be returning, but something for the

This was set by Wildbear at October 19th.

So it looks like the BitMe team might return but not as bitme.org. Let's see. Fingers crossed!

It's been about 6-7 months since it vanished.

I think BitMe is dead man...

IRC says it may be relaunched in one form or another...
