DESCRIPTION

Awesome-HD is one of the best HD movie/TV trackers in the world. It has a number of top-quality internal groups like BMF, decibeL, D-Z0N3, FoRM, FTW-HD, HiFi, OlSTiLe, Penumbra, Positive, SHeNTo and retired groups like de[42], NiBuRu & SaNcTi. For someone new to encoding, this is like heaven as there are a number of detailed tutorials & discussion on all aspects of encoding. As for the internal stuff, all new movies are uploaded in both 720p & 1080p and the quality of the releases are extremely high...comparable to or even better than the best P2P groups out there, and certainly far better than any scene releases.

There are no 100% freeleech torrents. Only 50 and 75 percent freeleech.

Content 9/10 is greatly exagerrated. I'd rate it 6/10.

Internals quality is great tho.

it is very overrated tracker. the only thing they do is good marketing and their good internals which all high or medium level hd trackers have but content is so weak. They have only 15k torrents while hdbits has 120k and hd-torrents has 85k, also almost none of them are dead torrents. So what makes AHD special? Just making people think that it is so special because it is hard to get in?

I have to disagree with you on this one. I find AHD a pretty good tracker and it actually is. You compare it to HDbits and HD-Torrents, but you forget to mention that AHD is a HD tracker where only 720p, 1080p and remuxes are allowed, whereas HDbits and HD-torrents are General trackers. Also AHD has already 24K torrents uploaded on the site (inactive ones get removed after 2 weeks I believe) and that is pretty much for a HD only tracker.

And aren't the internals what makes a private tracker special? AHD has D-Zon3 and Hifi (and some more of course), two of the best encoders and yes their releases get uploaded to different sites but not all of them and they mostly die after a while whereas they pretty much survive forever on AHD, they do a really good job at keeping their internal releases alive.

So yes I disagree with you and think AHD is an great HD tracker maybe even the best one out there.

I think AHD should be up a couple of notches. It is extremely rare to get into and has great contents with unique internal archiving system :)

Yeah i've heard it has a group of really talented encoders but i feel that the current rank is good enough for this tracker. Besides with enough bitrate you won't be able to tell any difference between the encodes of the ahd internals and those on some other trackers like hd-t, tehconnection...etc. I don't think we should rate a tracker based on the difficulty in joining the tracker. The ratings should be based on the quality of content, speed and the community.

I didn't only say that the rarity should get it into higher ranks. The stuffs AHD has is unbelievable. There are a large number of movies that you won't find anywhere but AHD. I've been using HD-T and being a very old member at HD-T and AHD, I would definitely keep AHD ahead, at least miles from HD-T.

And, when you get to use a tracker then and only then you can evaluate it. Can't evaluate a tracker only hearing about it. So, get into AHD and then tell us about your experiences :P
