Youth records movie in mobile phone, gets arrested

A person who tried to record a few scenes from a film that released on Friday got arrested by the police.

The incident took place at Savitha theatre in Kannur during the fans’ show early morning. It was the distributor’s representative who reported to police that someone was trying to record scenes from the movie using his mobile phone. The police who arrived at the spot following the information took a person into custody.

The film, directed by B Unnikrishnan released on Friday morning at full packed theatres. Fans’ shows were screened in some of the theatres as part of the release.

The person in police custody is a 33-year old workshop employee from Chempanthotty who arrived to watch the fans’ show screened in Savitha Theatre at 8.00 am. He recorded the stunt scenes from the movie using his mobile.

The police says that the youth did this in a moment of euphoria, and didn’t mean to use it for making any pirated copy of the movie.
