The box that handles 30tbs of content is about to expire. Historically when donations have been low some of us Staff have chipped in extra.

But like so many today we too are suffering financial constraints making it difficult for us to continue chipping in.

Today is the 24th and come the 30th we will lose 30tbs of content.

The last two months have been tough with donations coming way below the operating costs of our sites and our data stores.

YOU can prevent this from happening

I have said this before, if every member donated $1 (YES ONE DOLLAR) a month we would actually not only be able to keep what we have now, we could actually increase our retention times, increase our storage capacity and recode the sites with the lastest software, even perhaps upgrading hardware in the process.

ONE DOLLAR or ONE POUND or ONE EURO from every member per month and we would NEVER have to ask for donations again.

So please, the choice is yours, keep us alive and donate as much as you can, or as little, everything counts.

UPDATE: We will only have ONE dedicated server for content after 30th September, as such and as this is only a third of our total capacity, i shall be adjusting our retention times.

EVERYTHING with the exception of movies will be moving to a SEVEN day retention time, e.g. data arrives 10th of the month and will be deleted on the 17th of the month.

THERE IS NOTHING WE AS STAFF CAN DO ABOUT THIS!!

ONLY YOU the USERS have the power to STOP THIS COMMUNITY from falling by the wayside like so many others have. NO SITE can continue without funding, servers, security certificates and storage cost money and we do not have a bottomless pocket.
