TorrentHound Gone: Top 10 Best Torrent Websites Now Down to 7

One of the top 10 best torrent websites TorrentHound was reportedly shutdown voluntarily few days ago due to lack of interest from the team according to its founder. The Pirate Bay and ExtraTorrents still remains the top among "Kickass Torrents" alternatives sites. Will they follow suit Kickass Torrents, Torrentz and TorrentHound fate?

Three of the top 10 torrent websites were now reportedly shutdown. But the case of "Kickass Torrents" differs from Torrentz and TorrentHound were both have shutdown voluntarily. Tech Times reported that TorrentHound voluntary shutdown was attributable to factors such as unpaid bills, less revenue from less traffic and anxiety from constant bugging of anti-piracy agents.

The reported shutdown would leave The Pirate Bay and ExtraTorrents more traffic and more income. All the more, when the top 10 list of best torrent website is now down to seven with TPB and ET as leading. According to Yibada, TPB is the most resilient torrent site and dubbed as the "Godfather of all torrents" having around for more than a decade now. Whereas, others like Kickass Torrents are still trying to make a comeback through mirror sites but die down every now and then.

The fate of online piracy is walking through an indefinite path. No one can ever predict as to where that path leads either to destruction or resurrection. The fact that there are limited international laws and regulations that govern the operation of such kind of business, torrent websites will surely find loopholes to escape and continue the operation. The case of "Kickass Torrents" founder Artem Vaulin which is currently under investigation is a perfect example that online piracy will never go down the drain - not anytime from now.
