Again, no one knows who's responsible at this point... I'm just not convinced by taking some angry tracker staffer's word for it. His site is down, i'd be looking to blame someone too.

As far a probable motive? IPT, TD, TT aren't even competing trackers to WCD,BTN,SCC. It's not a competing market. What.cd & BTN hold a different member standard than IPT,TD,TT. What's the point to attack them? To gain more members, they say? I don't buy that. Its easy as shit to join those trackers, my mother could if she wanted to. The accusations just don't make any sense to me.

Personally, I like all these trackers. I'm not going to stop using one over the other to make some useless point. I'm just ready for it to end. What a waste of time and resources.

    Highly unlikely.

It's not a war when only one side attacks.

I guess you haven't read the OP correctly. IPT and Co had started to steal other trackers' peers and when they were discovered and stopped they started to get revenge by DDoS'ing.

I read the post correctly along with all the posts in each trackers forum.

Taking trackers peers? This doesn't make sense. If a member is in the tracker scene and is membered up at BTN & What.cd then they probably are/once-were a member at IPT anyways. So who the hell cares?

It's speculation in my eyes until I see some more information. Taking some angry staffer's word is not proof to me.

    Also on HDBits:

    Modbreak:

IPTorrents invites are hereby banned, because

    1) they have a pay-to-join system
    2) stood idly by while their sysop rok3r sold many invites to many trackers
    3) are organizing and/or facilitating and/or supporting and/or condoning the leaking of peer lists from other trackers to IPT. Especially this one severely compromises the safety of our users, because YOU will show up in peer lists on IPT, which owing to its pay-to-join sytem is a defacto public tracker.
    4) they're said to be responsible for the recent DDoS attacks on various trackers and irc net, although I haven't seen any hard and damning evidence of this.

To all current members of IPT, consider your password on IPT compromised. If you use it on HDBits, change both passwords to unique and secure passwords asap.

Yeah, 'cause HDbits.Org staff never sold their own invites for profit and we're all stupid to believe it. All these high level trackers do that... easy money from stupid users.
