India - Man arrested for making pirated DVDs
The video piracy cell of the Central Crime Branch has arrested a 33-year-old man for making pirated DVDs of new Tamil movies.
According to the police, Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan had given orders to take stringent action against video pirates. Mustafa, a resident of Pulianthope, made the discs on a rented premises on West Koovam Road in Chintadripet.
The police seized 10 DVD writing machines and 8,590 DVDs, including those of new movies such as Thupparivalan , Magalir Mattum , Thappu Thanda , Neruppuda and Puriyadha Puthir.
