August News (because we are still a bit in August)

Summer is coming to an end... Swimming and barbecues with friends will soon be just a memory. But the heat wave, the traffic jams and the boring tourists too!

So where is ABN?
The devs have updated the source code and the servers. It's transparent for you, but in terms of performance and security, we maintain the level of requirement.
The debate over the use of x265/H265 (HEVC) codecs has been interesting. In the end, we will leave everyone free to upload and download what they want. We will nevertheless be attentive to the visual and audio quality of the releases and will remove those that are too mediocre.
The rules are finalized, we're getting back into shape and we're publishing everything on the wiki by this weekend.
The number of members uploading and teams settling on ABN has increased further. The staff is particularly proud that many people are involved here. Many thanks to them! If we are a bit finicky about the rules (naming, content, etc.), please comply. The staff will do everything possible to help you!
I say it again and again, but we need your donations! We also need intermediaries to allow members wishing to help via PayPal to do so. The great manitou had explained the procedure here. You can see the filling of the donations thanks to the text "Abnormal tracker" which turns blue under the ABN logo.
Otherwise, what else?
The main upload / reseed server has been stabilised, I hope it won't give us the same slack as it regularly did last year.
I will put a reseed limit of 100GB or 20 torrents maximum per 24h per member. I think that's reasonable. If more is needed, the staff is available on IRC or the shout.
Freeleech for 5 days offered by the house!
Welcome back everyone!
