For the first year, everything went smoothly, and we had no major issues.
However, things took a turn when a staff member named ------- requested more authority and permissions on the site. When I declined, Wozniak teamed up with another member, Dry, to push for more power. What followed was a cycle of verbal abuse, false accusations, and overall toxicity that created a terrible environment for everyone involved. Despite this, the site continued to function well, with only minor hiccups here and there, maintaining steady operation for over a year.
There’s much more to the story, and I’m open to answering your questions as best as I can. However, the core issue stems from this power struggle. I always felt it was only a matter of time before this individual would leave and take others with them, just as they did with Broken Stones. I suspect they’ll attempt to frame their departure in a way that supports their narrative, possibly including details about times I asked to borrow money.
Yes, I did ask to borrow money from them on several occasions, but only because they encouraged me to on a personal level. I’m not wealthy, and the site has always been financially supported by its community. This individual contributed a significant amount for a time, especially when donations were low, but recently they stopped donating and discouraged other staff from contributing as well. This forced me to make a public plea for donations, which thankfully succeeded in covering the site’s costs. Shortly after, they resigned, sending out messages that allegedly accused me of wrongdoing.
I don’t know the full extent of what they’re saying, but this pattern mirrors what happened with Broken Stones two years ago. They left, shut down the site, and took most of the community with them. If our site meets the same fate, I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us.
I appreciate you all.
