Dear JPopSuki,

Recently, a number of our users have had issues with seeding and downloading torrents. Some of these will be due to specific problems one or two individuals are facing. However, a good fraction appears to be due to two problems with uTorrent 3.6:

1. version 3.6 of that client is not on the client allow list of JPopSuki or any other private tracker;

2. this version also has serious problems itself, possibly compromising users' privacy, which will likely prevent it from ever being added to allow lists.

You may not have explicitly updated your uTorrent but it apparently auto-updates by default so it is worth checking what version you are currently running.

If you are having torrenting problems, with JPopSuki and other private trackers, and you find yourself running uTorrent 3.6 you have two solutions to your problem:

1. downgrade uTorrent to version 3.5.5 which is on the allow lists and is not known to cause overt harm; or

2. ideally, if you are not inexorably attached to uTorrent, change your torrent client software to qBittorrent or another client of your choice.

Advocacy for qBittorrent

It is a client with a graphical user interface that runs on all major operating systems so you won't have an issue migrating to it.

Its user interface should be relatively familiar to you if you are already familiar with uTorrent.

It does not have a sordid history of shady practices or any ties to commercial entities that engage in such practices.

Last but not least, it is free and open-source software which means it is developed by volunteers as a service to the public, without expectation of commercial gain, and its source code is open for all to see.

Bear in mind, you nonetheless have other fine choices of free and open-source software as well as proprietary software which are present on JPopSuki's list of allowed clients.Dear JPopSuki,
