H/R (Hit and Run) System Now Active
Dear Members,
The H/R (Hit and Run) system is now active as of 12:00 AM, 30th November (GMT).
Rules for the H/R System:
Minimum Seed Time:
Every torrent must be seeded for a full 7 days (1 week or 168 hours). This rule applies even if your ratio reaches 1.1 or 2.0—seeding for the full 7 days is mandatory.
To check your history or stats, go to your Profile page and navigate to the Torrents submenu, then select History.
Grace Period:
You are allowed a total of 3 days (72 hours) of disconnection from seeding. You can use this time as you see fit, such as six 12-hour breaks or nine 8-hour breaks, for example.
Pre-Warning Notification:
If no seeding is detected for 24 hours, the system will send you a pre-warning PM reminding you to resume seeding for each torrent.
Warnings and Penalties:
If the 7-day seed time is not met, you will receive 1 warning per torrent.
This rule applies to all torrents, including free leech torrents—free leech does not exempt you from the seeding requirement.
You can accumulate up to 4 warnings. Once you reach this limit, your downloads will be disabled.
To remove a warning, you must either:
Resume seeding the torrent for 7 days.
Wait 14 days for the warning to expire.
Become a VIP member.
Repeat offenders may also face account bans.
Buffer for Downloading:
You have a 15% buffer for each torrent before it counts as a download.
Global Ratio Requirements:
As always, you must maintain a global ratio of 0.7 or higher. If your ratio falls below this threshold, your downloads will be disabled.
Additional Notes:
The rules and FAQ will be updated shortly.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to start a discussion on the forum.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We hope to see a significant improvement in seeding activity. This system is something the majority of members requested, and we are optimistic it will benefit the community overall.
H/R (Hit and Run) System Now Active (#2)
To clarify a few points:
All past seed times have been reset. The Hit and Run system only became active at 12:00 AM, 30th November (GMT), approximately two hours ago.
Any torrents downloaded before the system was activated do not count towards the Hit and Run rules. However, if you download a torrent after the system was turned on, ensure you seed it.
If you fail to meet the requirements, the system will send you a pre-warning after 24 hours, serving as a friendly reminder to resume seeding.
Hit and Run Exemptions:
The following user groups are immune to the Hit and Run system:
VIP
Jedi
Uploaders
Encoders
Seeders
Archivists

H/R (Hit and Run) System Now Active (#3)
Dear Members,
The rules regarding H/R (Hit and Run) have been updated. You now have a 14-day grace period to meet the 7-day required seed time.
You will still receive a pre-warning PM, but this will now be sent after 3 days to remind you that you to meet the required time.
After listening to the community and considering your feedback, it became clear that the original 3-day maximum to meet a week of seeding time was too strict for a site like FNP, which has always prided itself on being relaxed and community-focused. With that in mind, the rule has been revised to ensure a better balance.
This will be the final update regarding H/R, and I think we can all agree that this is a fair solution.
The updated rule will take effect at 12:00 AM GMT. In the meantime, please continue to follow the original rules if you have received a pre-warning PM.
Thank you once again for your feedback and understanding. The system was never intended to be overly strict, and after careful consideration of our values and community input, this change feels right. We hope it makes things much easier for everyone.
Best regards,
Fear No Peer
