Unsecured Jackett and -arr Apps (Sonarr, Radarr etc.)

Over the past few weeks the DCC staff has seen an increase in unsecured Jackett and -arr Apps (Sonarr, Radarr etc.). Some users are installing these applications on seedboxes without using even the most basic authentication like a password. This is a security risk for DigitalCoreClub and we are actively disabling accounts that have an unsecured installation where intruders can access your torrent client and copy your DCC announce key. If you are using any such applications then please double check that you have some form of security enabled.

If you are unsure then please contact your seedbox provider as the DCC can not support users with these issues as we do not have access, nor the knowledge of how each and every provider has set-up their security. In general, you should always use a password for any application that is accessible via the web.

If your a client of Seedit4.me and have not opened custom ports you already have basic auth enabled by default so not extra action is needed.
