3 x IPTorrents Invites GiveAway

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!
As a Christmas present, here are three invitations to IPTorrents (IPT), which were obtained by being a good netizen for a couple years over there, and I would very much like to keep it that way.
IPT has a lot of rules, both silly and reasonable ones, which you MUST read and heed, from allowed BitTorrent clients to avoiding Hit & Runs (complete every download you start and seed it for at least three weeks after completion) and a global seeding ratio > 100% (1.00). There are many more rules, upheld by rather strict law enforcement -- and what the administrators and moderators don't catch, the fanboys and mini-mods surely will. :deal:
As with most trackers these days, there is excessive offer on the supply side, making it very difficult to maintain a ratio > 1.00. This means that you will either find yourself in a situation where you might have to donate a couple bucks to get started or restrict yourself to 'Freeleech' torrents until you have built up a buffer. If this is too tedious in your book and not your cup of tea, IPT is not for you. :thefinger:
As for the conditions of participation: browsing through other offers on this site here, it is my understanding that the usual conditions for candidates consist in clicking the 'Like' and 'Reputation' buttons to apply and leaving positive (+) feedback after having obtained the invitation code/link/e-mail, is that correct? :adore: Then let's go with that and to increase your chances, feel free to include your statistics of any other trackers you are a member of, or come up with some original form of argumentation or proof (saving bear cubs in Siberia or the like); a little fun and originality never hurt. :present:
Please resist the temptation to hammer my inbox with hundreds of messages if the candidates are not picked immediately. It's the holiday season and those of us who do have a life are going to be busy with preparations and celebrations over the next 10 days. I will check every application and log in, too, but please be so kind as to allow me to gnaw on my piece of goose instead of spending day and night in front of a computer screen, o.k.? Thank you for your comprehension.
Now let the games begin and in the meantime, have a merry and peaceful Christmas in the circle of your loved ones, as well as a wild and funny New Years party and all the best for MMXVI. :santaclaus:
Yours faithfully,
QUI PECCAVIT
.
Read this VERY carefully!
Dear @Qui Peccavit, thank you for contributing to our community with this GiveAway!
Please make sure you follow these rules:
1) After sending the invites/accounts you posted, DO NOT FORGET to announce the winners in the thread and then close it. (At the top of the thread press Administrative/Close Thread/Proceed).
- Keep in mind that if you close the thread (while some users already applied) without announcing any winners (or even keep it open without announcing any winners) you may get banned permanently from TI.org!
2) Keep the thread open for a while, until you find some well deserved winners. Do not giveaway your invites/accounts to the first applicants, because good (maybe even better) users may apply later.
- The MAXIMUM period of time you can keep a thread open is 4 weeks. This is allowed ONLY for really good/rare trackers. For other, lower level trackers, 2 weeks is enough.
3) You are allowed to BUMP your thread (by posting "still available", "I am waiting for more applicants", etc.) ONCE EVERY 24 HOURS.
4) Last but not least, don't forget to check out THIS thread which contains some more rules and safety tips.
Not the kind of funny argumentation one would be hoping for ... :-)
Well,
Neither wanting something nor the fact that it's the holidays constitute any kind of personal merit that would explain why somebody deserves something, so the argumentation is somewhat ... peculiar. :hmmmm2: Nevertheless, having to make it onto Santa's list and remembering that to give is more blessed than to receive, I will let it slide.
The way this works on IPT is that I need to enter your e-mail address in a form on their website, which will then send the invitation directly to you. Consequently, please send me your e-mail address in a private message and we will take it from there.
Have a nice day and see you soon on the inside.
2 × IPTorrents (IPT) left
My pleasure, have a merry Christmas but don't neglect your special someone or family because of sucking IPT dry. :eating:
For everybody else, there are two invitations to IPTorrents (IPT) left, in case you still need a game for your little monsters or some chick lit for your girlfriend. :broken_heart:
:santaclaus:
BitTorrents are a two-way street ...
Apart from the observations made to the gentleman above, have you guys ever considered the reasons why it is that you do not receive anywhere near the invitations you apply for?
BitTorrents depend on uploading as much as on downloading, and in a similar manner, most communities like a little bit of contribution before handing out the goodies. On other tracker-trading sites similar to this one, newbies are not even allowed to beg for invitations before they have been part of the forum for a certain while, during which they are expected to contribute with meaningful content, not just «gimme, gimme» requests for every tracker under the sun or «great»/«thanks» blah-blah. This site is rather generous in that aspect, making it a lot easier for new members than it was for those who hand out the invites now, but why not take a look around other sections and see if you can contribute something useful?
That might be helpful advice and a few pointers to people who ask technical questions, suggestions for the site's improvement, reviews of those trackers you are already a member of, constructive discussions of new industry/political/technical developments ... it does not take a lot to demonstrate that you are not only here for a quick Hit & Run on invites, does it? Putting in a little effort would show others that you are trying to contribute to the community, which in turn would lead to many more of your prayers being answered.
At the very least, look at the applications made by others and the response they received (or not) and learn from it, instead of merely shooting off your run-off-the-mill three letter «I want» posts. Provide proof of having been a responsible member of other trackers or at least think of some original argumentation why it should be you instead of others who receives the invite. Why? Because, if you are too lazy to do that little here, how can we possibly be sure that you will put in the necessary effort to keep your (and our) accounts safe and in the green on private trackers where it sometimes costs a lot more money/work/time to adhere to the rules and conditions?
Just a thought, no criticism or offense intended. Give your application another shot and we will take it from there.
Was that supposed to be an application?
Thank you for seeing it that way, and please forgive my not being quite sure whether this was an application of yours or merely a friendly comment. If you would like to obtain an invitation, please read through the responses to previous candidates and elaborate a little on how you intend to remain an active and contributing member on all the trackers you are applying for. It is comprehensible to feel like a kid in a candy store, grabbing as many invitations as one possibly can when they are all for free, but usually, most of them are neglected soon, as one concentrates on the two or three that one can handle in only 24 hours per day.
While preparing an application worth that denomination, have a wild party and a good transition into MMXVI. :santaclaus:
Thank you for the nice compliment :-)
That is a very nice compliment ...
... because English is not my mother tongue. Thank you very much in the name of my teachers, who must surely have lost a few nerves back in the day. :alberteinstein:
It is a nice gesture for a moderator to take the time to give positive praise, instead of always punishing mistakes only. It shows character as well as a friendly atmosphere in the community and is greatly appreciated. Have a drink on me tomorrow, all the best for MMXVI and take care. :martini_shaken:
You are welcome, but your e-mail address will be required ;-)
Please excuse the delay,
I caught a terrible cold over New Years eve and am kind of spitting my lungs out these days. Nevertheless, if you send me your e-mail address in a private message, I shall enter it into IPT's form for invitations and the latter will be sent from them directly to you.
Sold out, thread closed :-)
The three invitations to IPTorrents (IPT) were given to Shandaar, Semperarden and VMars. Enjoy the treasure chest of digital jewels at IPT and take care. The thread is now closed.
