How to test your Seedbox providers internet speed with Command Line

Simple as this:
$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.github.com/sivel/speedte...eedtest_cli.py
$ chmod +x speedtest-cli
$ ./speedtest-cli

Mine were with Seedboxes.cc:

Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Retrieving speedtest.net server list...
Testing from i3d B.V. (********)...
Selecting best server based on latency...
Hosted by fdcservers.net (Amsterdam) [0.00 km]: 5.882 ms
Testing download speed........................................
Download: 1506.81 Mbit/s
Testing upload speed............................................. .....
Upload: 366.83 Mbit/s

You dont need root access to your seedbox. Only applying execute rights for the script, as you can see im not using sudo and i dont have "#" front of the line.

you only need to have ssh access to your seedbox.

I also don't have that. Might be because i have a shared seedbox from seedbox.io

I try this. But not working..

The file speedtest_cli.py has been deprecated in favor of speedtest.py
and is available for download at:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/si...r/speedtest.py

Any update script ?

Just change the first step from
$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.github.com/sivel/s...st-...eedtest_cli.py

To

$ wget -O speedtest-cli https://raw.githubusercontent.com/si...r/speedtest.py
