How to get FREE Bitcoins
Hey everyone, I had read so much about Bitcoins in the news/technosphere but never actually looked into them, then one day I found that there is an easy way to get Bitcoins. I've been using this method for 2 days now and the results have so far been good. I've made a few euros in Bitcoins and have not spent a penny of my own money to do so. I've been talking about my progress in the T-I IRC, and I've had lots of people message me asking me how I'm doing it, so I've decided to create this guide. :)
For those who don't know, Bitcoin is an anonymous, de-centralized web currency (think BitTorrent in money form!). For more information about it, check out weusecoins.com or the Bitcoin Wiki at en.bitcoin.it. The first thing you should do is create your own Bitcoin wallet. This is where all your money is stored, so it a central part of the process. There are two main ways of having a wallet, having an online wallet or a local wallet. Local wallets are stored on your computer in an app. The most popular local wallet is the official Bitcoin app called Bitcoin-Qt. It can be downloaded from their website at bitcoin.org/en/download. I'm personally using a wallet called Electrum, it can be downloaded from Electrum Bitcoin Client. The most popular online wallet is the one offered by Blockchain. It can be found at blockchain.info/wallet. For those interested there are also mobile wallets available for your phone, however I have never used them. Once you get the app up and running you should go through the process of creating a wallet, once you have a Bitcoin address you are golden!
So now that you have a Bitcoin address you are able to send and receive payments through the Bitcoin network. Now its time to start earning those coins! There are many sites that give you free Bitcoins just for entering in your Bitcoin address. There are also other sites that will pay you in Bitcoins for viewing ads, Youtube videos, etc. I have compiled an extensive list of sites that I've found over the past 2 days. These sites will give you free Bitcoins. Here it is:

The first few sites are those that I've found are the most helpful. Many of these sites require you to do stuff (the most popular being viewing ads). However, if you are looking for just sites that will spit out free Bitcoins at you for doing (essentially) nothing, go to coinreaper.com. It's the best in regards to quickly getting free Bitcoins.
Most of these sites will give you very small amounts of Bitcoins and only after a while will they start to add up. This is definitely no get rich quick scheme. Most sites pay in small increments but when 1 Bitcoin is worth about $70USD (at the time of writing) it can start to be worth it if you put in enough of your free time here and there. Also remember it can take a while for these sites to process your payments, but payments are moved pretty quickly through the Bitcoin network. Once you get about 0.01BTC in your wallet there are quicker ways to make more Bitcoins, many of which involve playing chance games. However I will not get into this here as it's considered gambling and its legality is a gray area.
I hope this guide can help start people out and introduce them to the world of Bitcoins. I know these sites introduced me to the idea and the strengths behind de-centralized currency. If theres anything I should clear up, elaborate on, or if you have your own sites and tips to add, just post a reply! Thanks for reading and enjoy coining!
