WSJ: Netanyahu in advance agreed with Trump attack in Syria

MOSCOW, April 18 (RIA Novosti) - Israel has agreed with Washington in advance on the T-4 Syrian military airfield in Homs province, and the US approved this step. This is reported by The Wall Street Journal with reference to the source.

According to the interlocutor of the newspaper, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "after talks with President Donald Trump, ordered to strike at the recently arrived battery of air defense, so that the Iranian forces could not use it against Israeli aircraft."

It is noted that the weapons system was destroyed before it was ready to be used. In addition, Israeli forces destroyed the hangar, which housed unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Iranians.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that a blow to the T-4 airbase was inflicted by the Israeli Air Force. According to the agency, on the night of April 9, two F-15 fighters fired eight missiles, five of which were shot down, three hit the target. The Russian advisers did not suffer during the attack.
