I would have to say.. my favorite book(s) of all time would most definitely have to be...
Stephen Kings ... The Dark Tower series... every one of them.
I really can't recall how many times I had daydreamed about being the GunSlinger and going through some of those crazy adventures he had. King just has that way of putting you in the head of the main Character. Really visual and damn.. the concept is just absolutely amazing. A must read that I highly recommend for anyone who hasn't yet!
But, you don't have to take my word for it!

Harry potter series :)
I am little bit surprised to find so many Harry Potter fans here :) I love the series, too, but recently discovered for myself Russian classic literature, it is completely new level. I also love postmodern and realism styles, just adore John Apdayk, Chuck Palahniuk, Viktor Pelevin and Vladimir Sorokin. I heard an opinion (greatly explained here bid4papers.com/blog/read-more-write-better/ ) that the more you read the better you can write, I partly agree with this statement. I read Mike Tyson's interview where he told that read tons of Russian literature being in prison, I was very excited with this fact.
