what is the internet plans and prices in ur country

I think it would be nice to know to which country one should migrate to get a nice and fast connection :D :D


I will start here with " EGYPT " ( I think the slowest and the most costy prices in the world :thumpdown: )

for 1 MB speed (120 KB down / 32 KB up ) ----> we pay 140.00 EGP = 15.5269 EUR = 19.9195 USD

for 2 MB speed (240 KB down / 64 KB up ) ----> we pay 220.00 EGP = 24.3995 EUR = 31.3020 USD

for 4 MB speed (480 KB down / 128 KB up ) -----> we pay 380.00 EGP = 42.1445 EUR = 54.0671 USD



so, what are the price plans for DSL internet connection in ur country ??????

Very interesting thread! Lets make a little review for Poland:

There's thousands local ISP. The main one - Polish Telecom aka. Orange - avaiable almost all around the country offers ADSL or VDSL Internet in 4 diferrent plans:

10/1 mbps for 49 PLN (1 PLN = 0,2334 EURO = 0,3007 USD)
20/2 mbps for 69,57 PLN
40/4 VDSL for 79 PLN
80/8 VDSL for 89 PLN

Its not too cheap but avaiable almost everywhere.

In main cities, there's lot of CATV like UPC for example offering DOCSIS 3.0 Internet in plans:
15 mbps for 28 PLN
30 mbps for 33 PLN
60 mbps for 40 PLN
250 mbps for 100 PLN (GEPON)

There's also many smallest CATV and ISP offering GPON access. I live in a small town and pay 99 PLN for 100/10 FTTH access. And I think it's not bad ;)

Edit: There's also 4 mobile Internet providers. The montly fee depends of the traffic peak (for example 49 PLN for 15 or 59 for 30 GB/month) and the speed is up to 42 mbps in HSPA but usually it's about 4-7mbps. One of them offers LTE - 150 mbps but the real speed is about 30-40 mbps.

Any other plans except the mobile one are unmetred ofc (no monthly data limit)

Egypt also has traffic cap its policy on all ISP except linkdsl corp. and also I am cso in this company ;)
