Someone at the start of this thread mentioned filelist, and that jogged my memory, I think that was also my first tracker. It could be torrentleech, my join date on there is July 2005 which seems like a long time ago now :D

My 1st trackers were Demonoid and Torrentleech, both were around the same time for me around 6 years ago, still use both trackers to this day as well... :)

My very first private tracker was actually the first (to my knowledge) torrented TV-show ever. In the irc-channel I got my TV-shows from back in the day (this was in 2001 I think), one of the mods asked a bunch of us to come back the next day, as this new software called "bittorrent" was being released, and he thought it might fix the whole queueing-for-a-download-slot problem we had back in those days. So me and about 80 other people turned up the next day, having downloaded the first ever bittorrent-release. The mod sent us all a tiny file, and we opened it, and an episode of Angel started downloading. It was hugely disappointing, I got speeds of only a few kilobytes... at first. But then... whoooooosh!
After that there were loads of open trackers all over the place (TVtorrent, Supernova, MiniNova, etc). I think the first private one I joined was TVTorrents (note the s), back in 2003... Though I could be wrong. A lot have come and gone over the years.
Torrentleech.org, and got it very recently too.
Has loads of good stuff there, I like it.
My first private tracker was Anime Torrents. I really liked it because at the time it was hard to find good anime torrents, with english subs, in the public trackers.
The first private tracker for me is IPtorrents. Very fast and good selection of movies. I especially like the layout of the site.
Czone, a private tracker from Romania that had a bug where you could register without invitation, it worked some time till people started to spread the word.
