My first tracker was a little-known place called Blackcats-Games (well, unknown at the time). It was still open registration, and I had no idea what I was getting into. I managed to find myself in the "kitty litter" class before I figured out how everything worked, dug myself out, and never looked back. That is, I didn't look back until I foolishly neglected to login and lost my account. :(
