DAMASK, January 18 - RIA Novosti. Syria's air defense forces have been restored and are capable of driving down any Turkish aircraft in the airspace of the Syrian Arab Republic, Syrian Deputy Foreign Affairs Faisal Mikdad told reporters.

"We warn that the Syrian air defenses have completely restored their capabilities and are ready to destroy Turkish air targets in the sky over Syria, which means, in case of aggression against Syria, let them not feel for a walk," said Mikdad.

On Wednesday, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag stated that Ankara was holding consultations with Moscow and Washington over a possible operation in Syrian Afrik against the armed formations of Syrian Kurds YPG, which Turkey considers a terrorist organization associated with the banned Kurdistan Workers Party in the country. According to media reports, Turkey led its troops on the border with Syria in a state of increased combat readiness.
