On the site of the An-148 crash, an airborne recorder

MOSCOW, February 12. / TASS /. Rescuers in the course of search operations found on the site of the crash of the An-148 plane in the Moscow region, presumably an airborne recorder. This was reported by the head of the Main Directorate of the Emergencies Ministry for the Moscow region Sergey Poletykin.

"The recorder is found in the 18th sector [of the search works], now the IAC is working to confirm and identify the device," he said during a working group of the government commission for emergency situations.

On the eve of the crash site, one "black box" was also found.

Poletkin said that nine aircraft are used to inspect and clarify the boundaries of the debris dispersal. "The search area is divided into 29 sectors, each assigned a senior employee," said Poletkin. According to him, the site for laying out the wreckage of the plane has been determined and prepared. "The main efforts are now focused on finding the remains of the deceased and collecting the debris of the aircraft," he said.
