MOSCOW, March 26 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. Saudi Arabia's air force intercepted a missile near the city of Riyadh, the Al Arabiya television channel reported.

According to the television channel, the rocket was intercepted in the northeast of Riyadh "before it landed."

Later, a representative of the coalition led by Saudi Arabia reported intercepting seven ballistic missiles launched by Yemen. All of them, allegedly, were destroyed.

According to preliminary data, fragments partially fell into residential areas. According to Al-Arabiya, one person allegedly died.

Earlier, the Yemeni rebel Husits ​​repeatedly launched rockets towards Saudi Arabia.



In Yemen, since 2014, an armed conflict continues, in which insurgent husits ​​from the Shiite movement Ansar Alla participate, on the one hand, and government troops and militia loyal to President Abd Rabb Mansour Hadi, on the other. The authorities from the air and on the ground support the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
