MOSCOW, July 19 (Itar-Tass) - RIA Novosti. The Ministry of Defense of Russia published a video of training launches of the latest hypersonic rockets "Dagger" from MiG-31 fighters.

On a two-minute video posted on Thursday on the NTV channel's website, it shows how the MiG-31 interceptor fighter equipped with Dagger takes off from a military airfield and then launches a missile.

This aircraft was accompanied by a long-range Tu-22M3 bomber, which also carried a "Dagger".

"Dagger" and other latest Russian weapon systems were presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 1 in a message to the Federal Assembly. According to him, a hypersonic missile capable of developing a speed of 10 Mach (10 sound velocities) is guaranteed to overcome all existing anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems, delivering nuclear and conventional warheads to a range of up to 2,000 kilometers.
