My dedi Server that I use as seedbox is on a full duplex 1gbit/s link.
My home server on 200/50mbit/s but looking to get that up soon. But my provider is a cunt.
2 mb down 500 kb/s up usually but i use my school to download or upload things which has like 60-80 mb/s download and 15-20 mb/s upload
I'm curently with 95MBps down / 20 MBPs up :D
1 gbps on paper, but on speedtest I've only gotten 400mbps max through direct lan connection

Make sure thats 1gbs from the ISP if so it seems that the router you are using is not able to reach more due cpu being to slow. There lots of good routers that are not to expensive and offer 2-4 cores. and good amount of ram. And CAT6A network cable might help even CAT7 is not that expensive here!
To the topic: 500MB/S Down and 50 MB/S up, however i'm not downloading with my internet connection I use a seedbox.
