Emirates recreates viral ad with stuntwoman on top of Burj Khalifa

The Dubai-based Emirates Airlines has recreated the ad which garnered media attention last year.
This time, the stuntwoman is standing at the peak of the Burj Khalifa yet again, holding up messages with an invitation to visit Expo 2020 Dubai, Emirates said in a press release today.
Emirates hit the global headlines and social media feeds of millions in August 2021 when it took its brand message to new heights atop the Burj Khalifa.
The stuntwoman then gestures to the Emirates A380 donning the Expo 2020 Dubai livery, which circles the background as she stands on the spire of the world's tallest building.
The choreographed flypast involved the A380 flying at a low altitude of only 2,700 feet, the height of Burj Khalifa by Emaar.
The aircraft also flew at a low speed of 145 knots, whereas the cruising speed of an A380 is around 480 knots.

The aircraft also appears as though it was flying very close to the stuntwoman, when in fact it was over a half a mile away.
The new ad campaign is expected to run in 12 languages, across 19 countries covering TV, cinema, digital, and social media platforms.
The ad is part of a wider USD 20 million commitment Emirates has made to drive more visits to Dubai and Expo 2020 Dubai.
Running until 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 Dubai is hosting events showcasing human advances and the latest in technology, culture, art, music, gastronomy, sports, among others, in addition to over 190 country pavilions to see and experience.
