In the article entitled "We can not defeat Russia, let's join it" the journalist listed the advantages of this development. He points out that Britain will have a powerful army, and it will not be necessary to boycott the World Cup in football - it will become "home" for the British.

Earlier that London will have to reconsider its diplomatic and political representation at the World Championships in connection with the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal, the British Foreign Ministry said.

Later in London reported that the UK will lower the level of the delegation to the 2018 World Cup, but there is no talk of boycott, the British team will compete.

Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia found on March 4 in an unconscious state in Salisbury. The British side claims that Moscow is involved in the poisoning of the Violins with substance A234, Russia categorically denies this.

In connection with this incident, relations between the countries have worsened. London sent 23 Russian diplomats and frozen all bilateral contacts at a high level. In response, Russia declared non grata persona the same number of diplomatic staff of the British Embassy.
