i think ban , will be for your mac address.
ok,,, i will change it...
now, with a dynamic ip and mac address changed, can they ban me??
i think they can't see your MAC address because it's layer 2 (mac address )and the server dealing with you depend on layer 3 ( ip address )
so they can only see your public ip address ..
maybe anyone have additional info tell us :)

Only if someone have access to your LAN can be seen all the mac addresses in the network. If you want to be sure about your second account just 1)change your ip address, 2)use totally different username and password when you register in the tracker, 3)clean your browser with ccleaner or use different browser, and finally if you would like to feel more safe change the default username and password of your router.
Ban you mac address? WTF man? Where do you get that kind of info? Of course they don't ban your mac address.
You only have to change you mac adress if you want know how pm me and you will be safe
A MAC address ban is actually likely and easy for them to do. It's been happening for years on large multiplayer games why would we think that 20+ year old trackers and torrent users couldn't implement it? Good luck changing your MAC address though.
:dong:
You can't get a client's mac address... where did this come from? Mac address is very low level as hossam pointed out, just between your adapter and your subnet for the purpose of dhcp. Trackers would have no reason to even get mac addresses because they're so easy to spoof.
Changing your IP and username should be fine. If you use the same password (you're dumb... don't do that for other reasons) and they still ban you, you know that the tracker doesn't store passwords properly. If they encrypt passwords as they should, they themselves should not be able to see them.
Sorry for bumping old thread.
Are there any news and opinions about this?
I am banned on a tracker and I am about to find an invite to the tracker.
1) you should be honest with the person inviting you - it’s not fair they also lose their account for unknowingly inviting a previously disabled user.
2) depending on your connection a simple unplug of the modem will issue you with a new IP. If this isn’t an option you can contact your ISP to change it. This is an important step to take.. don’t sign up with the same IP.
3) change your browser. So if you used chrome use Firefox. If you used Firefox use chrome etc whatever browser you prefer.
4) a new email that has 0 reference to the email you used with the disabled account.
But as always is it worth the risk? Can you find this trackers content elsewhere? Good luck :)
You guys talking about getting mac address that impossible to fetch from the user, So one question why my internet provider able to see my mac address on their website?
