CGPeers Question

I am looking to get into CGPeers; on their website it says "Registration is currently Closed. (Opens for 48 hours on the 1st & 15th)". So it sounds like one can simply go there and register during the prescribed period. However the 2017 review of the tracker (http://torrentinvites.org/f36/cgpeer...05/#post775286) says that it is based on invite only.

So do I still require an invite even during the "Open" period?

As I know they still open sign-ups on 1st and 15th. No invite is needed, just sign up and you are good to go.
