Which according to you are the most OVERRATED tracker(s) ?

Well we all are tracker savants here (well some are more than others ;)) and we eat trackers, drink trackers and (almost) live trackers; so what you really think are the most OVERRATED and UNDERRATED (if you can) tracker(s)? Starting from myself I strongly think the following are the overrated trackers and doesn't really deserve that hype as they gets.

I invite all members to participate; from staff to newbies. Thank you.

PTP; HDB; BitMe; STP; (I'm not much active in all genre so that's all I can opt to)

I think BTN is a bit overrated, since other trackers such as freshon have somewhat the same shows while being more easier to gain entry. As much as I'd love to get into BTN, it isn't that big of a deal for me imo.

I think yeah! BTN is overrated but it will just get more hype in future. As they are about to reach their (so call) user limit. And, people will gone crazy about it.

I don't now if there's OVERRATED trackers but what i now is that in everything must be an competition on who is number 1 or 2 this is

how this works and makes you wanna now,what that tracker have to offer...But some Trackers in my opinion are UNDERRATED

and deserves more like:Filelist, torrentday, SceneFZ, xtremZone, Czteam...and many more..

I think there's common human psychology that the tracker(s) whose invite is hard to get will be more awesome as compared to others. But I think Filelist, TD, IPT may have more learning content than BitMe etc. but it's hard and invite is through staff only makes virtual HOAX and people follow each other and join the queue of sheeps'. ;)

P.S: nCore and TsH are also underrated. (as for me)

I would say PTP is overrated because their stats say 250k torrents, but many of them are dead (torrents don't get deleted for inactivity). All the new/well-known movies are found on general trackers and if you're into obscure movies there's Karagarga, Cinemageddon and others.

Overrated: PTP, GFT, BTN
Underrated: TSH, HDAccess

Not sure on the overated part. But underated for me right now is.

I was going to say torrentleech until they opened their doors. Very hard for new users to get going with DL slots and have to wait on anything 0day. The content is pretty fast but nothing special imo, a couple no ratio trackers are about 80% there!

No, I really don't count TL overrated. They are strict (and wired) in their rules but not overrated. And, the slot system and time to wait for 0day is (I think) for 10k users who have just sign-in with that code. And, yeah, SCC is more active and prefers over TL because of their freeleech torrents and packs but they have dark part too. SCC has banned almost 8-10 countries (including mine) that's why I think more people opt for TL a.c.t SCC. Afterall I think if any newbie manage to survive on TL with good standing ratio than he/she can survive any other tracker as well. TL is one of the hardest trackers out there.

Yeah! PTP is one of the most overrated trackers. Their encoders (I think they have 2 groups) aren't superb and even most people on PTP share HDB's, AHD and other HD trackers (HDwing etc.) rip on PTP. PTP is just overrated under the name of so call "Holy Trinity of trackers" a.k.a Shit Triangle. ;)

Perhaps your right about TL, maybe its one of the best ratio proofs to post up bc it shows that the user is dedicated!

I already have some of them but they are useless and never had any special content

IPT,TD,TORRENTSHACK,FILELIST,SCENEFZ,PTM,BITSOUP and Scenetime are under rated
BEYONDHD and hd-united provide the best HD quality I have ever seen but both are the most under rated trackers

Well, that's indeed a good question and I should have share my Definition of Underrated/Overrated trackers.

Tbh; their ain't any rating (or something) exist upon which we can rate any tracker under or over. This is subjective; everyone speaks with his/her experience. There may be many aspects in defining tracker(s) viz; Content, Community, speed, Hard-to-get, Seeding system, maintaining ratio, Earning bonuses, earning invites and at last trackers' 'Virtual' respect in public community.

Well, as we know Human are social animals and luckily we happened to be a Human so we read, write, do shit viz, Overdefine trackers or underdefine it etc. So every tracker gets it's respect or psychological reputation. e.g. Tracker Reviews. Many times people or group of people create unexceptional hype about any tracker which that tracker doesn't really deserve; But under that hype more people start following the queue and ask for or try to get into that tracker but when they do get in they feel disappointed with what they see. Mainly lack of everything that I explained above. So that's what we call Overrated tracker. And, the exact reverse goes for Underrated trackers.

A short Example; Well if you are anywhere active in eLearning genre that you must hear about BitMe. It's very hard tracker. Hard in every aspect; hard to get in; hard to maintain; Hard to earn (invites) etc. Overall a Risky and expensive tracker to have. (That's the hype about it, btw) They have user limit of 30k but thus far they have deleted at least 50K accounts with only ~10k active users. So that's make a virtual hype. People who don't have it; flock into it. They try to getin' by any means, Lurk dozens of Public, private forums. PM guys everywhere. Lurk their IRC and always try to find anyway in. And, when at last they do get it after 4-5 months lurking; what they see is dead community, old content and surprisingly strict Staff. So they stop using it and just keep it for their so call collection. That's it. The same goes for HDB, PTP etc.

Tl;DR: There's no rating for judging trackers. That's just personal experience which defines them and needless to say it is always subjective. And, you are also invited to share your reviews if you have any.

Overrated: GFT,BitmeTV,SCC
Underrated: HD-Torrents,HDAccess,Filelist,nCore,Xspeeds,BitSoup,T orrentshack.

Why's BitSoup underrated?

Overrated : What.cd, BitMe, Exigo
Underrated : Cinemageddon, Karagarga, ThePlace.bz, BitVault

It depends on what you look for... Some people CRAVE to be a member there!

HDaccess is the most underrated tracker on earth. those guys have their own source for Untouched BR-Ds. Most of the major movies are released by them before anyone else.

BTN and PTP are not overrated for sure!! BTN has the best, the biggest and largest number of TV series and episodes. Freshon, BitmeTV and others in the same category are not even close! Same with PTP apart from HDBits and CHBits it is the biggest movie tracker. with a very nice interface and community.

Some other old trackers are a bit overrated nowadays.. like BitmeTv, SCC, Bitme.. just because they are old and lack fresh blood

Thanx for comment buddy. But I think I can argue over PTP. Well, you can't justify it with database. They don't have anything their own. They have two encoding groups yet most of snatched files are from Internals of other trackers, viz; HDBs, AHD, CHD, HDW etc. etc. And, as far it goes to database many of those torrents are dead or poorly seeded. And, I'm sure you don't mean biggest with that. ;) And it is very hard to get-in too. So overall PTP is overrated; try to rate it on all aspects.

On BTN I can't really say anything as I don't use it. But for others I'm agree with you.

Well in terms of MOVIES, after HDbits and CDbits, PTP is the biggest. and I don't care where they take their releases from.. they have more than others in one place

mutracker is underrated. It has the same members as /mu/ and is good.

Most overrated: TorrentLeech
Most underrated: IpTorrents or a couple of solid open trackers
