One of CPL's most consistent batters, Brandon King has moved from Antigua & Barbuda Falcons to Barbados Royals ahead of the 2025 season of the tournament. In a trade deal, Obed McCoy and Rakheem Cornwall head the other way to Antigua & Barbuda Falcons.
King has scored 1837 runs in the tournament, and was the leading run-getter in the 2019 season. He has two seasons of 400-plus tally and was the player of the season in 2022 when he powered Jamaica Tallawahs to the CPL title. While the Falcons lose his services, they've secured that of an astute all-rounder in Cornwall, who has scored 1347 runs in the tournament at an eye-catching strike rate of 150. He has also picked 35 wickets. After three seasons at Royals, Cornwall returns to his home franchise.
Joining him is left-arm fast bowler McCoy, who has previously represented Saint Lucia Kings besides the Royals. McCoy has picked 56 wickets in 52 CPL outings, with his best season in 2022 where he bagged 15 wickets for the Royals.
