White Galaxy Note 9 version possibly in the pipeline, right on time for Christmas

We’re only 50 days away from Christmas as of this writing, and what better way to prepare for the snowy season than envisioning one of the world’s greatest smartphones in a fittingly festive all-white coating?

The good news is you no longer have to imagine how Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 might look in an eye-catching ivory color option. Unfortunately, Evan Blass, who is hands down the most reliable and trusted source of mobile tech leaks, cannot vouch for the authenticity of this particular device render.

Received as a tip from an unnamed source (duh), the white Galaxy Note 9 illustration certainly looks legit at first glance, although these things are naturally (almost too) easy to fake.

If this indeed proves an authentic new variant of Samsung’s latest S Pen-wielding flagship, it would follow in the footsteps of already snazzy and diverse Metallic Copper, Lavender Purple, Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, and Cloud Silver models.

Of those five, four are currently available stateside, which must be some kind of record. Of course, the iPhone XR can be purchased in a grand total of six color versions, including white, and we’ve already heard rumbles of a similarly extensive Galaxy S10 lineup.

Interestingly, the company’s “next big thing” is no longer expected to come in white, with black, grey, blue, red, green, and yellow instead rumored to have been “locked” as the “final” color options.

What’s even more intriguing is that the last Galaxy Note-series device offered in white was 2015’s “White Pearl” Note 5. The Galaxy S7, S8, and S9 didn’t get this option either, so we’re definitely excited about a rare possible release.
