unc0ver v3.0.0~b40 is now out with support for all pre-A12 devices on iOS12 with Cydia and Substrate working
03/03/2019 - v3.0.0~b40 was released for public testing with the following changes:
- Support for all pre-A12 devices on iOS12 with Cydia and Substrate working
https://github.com/pwn20wndstuff/Undecimus/releases
• iOS 11 supported devices: all (Cydia & Substrate support)
• iOS 12 fully supported devices: A7 - A11 (Cydia & Substrate support)
• iOS 12 no support yet:
- iPhones Xs, Xs Max, Xr
- iPads Pro 11" 1 & 12.9" 3
Important Notes
• iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 is still signed (https://t.me/iOSupdates), with all exploits working, i.e. you can downgrade to it (https://graph.org/rjailbreak-FAQ-07-...table-Versions) by downloading beta firmware (https://www.theiphonewiki.com/wiki/Beta_Firmware) to then use futurerestore or jailbreak it
• iOS 12.1.4 SEP is compatible with iOS 12.0+.
• iOS 12.1.x SEP is NOT compatible with iOS 11 or lower for most devices. Some A7 devices can downgrade to 10.2 - 10.3.3, A7/A8 can downgrade to 11.3 - 11.4.1. Research these reports before acting on them.
(https://www.reddit.com/r/iOSDowngrad...ure_enclave/)- The devices marked as fully supported above have full-fledged Cydia and Substrate support for iOS 12. This means that Cydia and Tweaks are fully functional like on iOS 11. Obviously, they may be buggy and not compatible with iOS 12.
- You can always check whether your IPA has been tampered with by comparing hashes for any jailbreak version, learn more here (http://graph.org/Jailbreak-IPAs-03-18).
• Advice such as (https://graph.org/Jailbreaks-02-10#Jailbreak-Types) turning on Airplane Mode and waiting a few minutes still applies for this semi-untethered jailbreak.
• Delete OTA files from the Storage panel in Settings.app if present and reboot before attempting the jailbreak to prevent a possible bootloop. Don't forget to install the watchOS/NOOTA profile (https://graph.org/rjailbreak-FAQ-07-...ng-iOS-Updates).
• If you are having issue or run into any other kind of problems with your jailbreak, jailbreak without enabling tweaks and update or uninstall recently isntalled packages and re-jailbreak.
• Many extensions (packages such as tweaks, etc.) are known to cause issues with the iOS 12 due to the lack of proper iOS 12 compatibility. – Please be careful with what you install.
