Moar Motorola P30 images are leaked, revealing every single key selling point
It was only a few days ago that Motorola let the cat out of the bag by prematurely listing the P30, P30 Note, and P30 Play on its official Chinese website, but even though the Lenovo-owned company didn’t reveal any product images, we already know precisely how these phones are supposed to look.
Rumored to go official in China tomorrow, August 15, at a press event where the Moto Z3 is also expected to expand from the US to the world’s largest smartphone market, the Motorola P30 has practically become an open book after an even more detailed leak.
A whole bunch of posters and promotional images have been uncovered on Chinese social media, but fret not, as the P30 family could also see daylight in Western markets under the Motorola One name.
Since the iPhone X-similar design was no secret, let’s focus on the specifications and features further leaked today, starting with AI-enhanced 16 + 5MP dual rear-facing cameras. That sounds like a solid imaging setup for a handset rumored to cost as little as 1,999 yuan, roughly equating to $290.
While the entry-level configuration is likely to combine 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, a slightly pricier variant should bump up the local digital hoarding room to 128 gigs. It’s unclear exactly how the Motorola P30 Note will differ from the “regular” model, although a larger screen and battery are obviously our safest bets.
Of course, the P30 is by no means small, at 6.2 inches in diagonal, with an extra-tall 19:9 aspect ratio and FHD+ resolution in tow. But its 3,000 mAh battery sounds a tad underwhelming, especially with a number of gaming-friendly performance enhancements and optimizations highlighted in these freshly leaked materials.
For what it’s worth, Motorola appears to be teasing a device with a gigantic 5,000 mAh battery on Weibo, and the Moto Z3 packs a modest 3,000 mAh cell of its own.
