Galaxy S10 trio to bring "very significant" design changes according to CEO
Finally, after reports and rumors have been claiming for quite some time now that the Galaxy S10 series would introduce some major design changes to Samsung’s smartphone design language, the CEO of Samsung Mobile has confirmed that this is indeed the case.
Speaking to Chinese media earlier this week, the head of the company stated that the upcoming flagship series would bring “very significant” changes. This was made in reference to the smartphone’s overall design if compared to the current Galaxy S9 line and Galaxy Note 9. Unfortunately, the executive failed to detail what kind of changes can be expected.
On a separate design note, the CEO has revealed that there will be very “amazing” colors on offer when it comes to the Galaxy S10. This backs up recent rumors of a new color scheme that would be capable of rivaling Huawei’s gradient offerings. Moreover, it also coincides with new information that claims Samsung is now considering a whopping nine colors for its next flagships, one of which is the fan-favorite Emerald Green which was last seen back in 2015 on the Galaxy S6 Edge.
In regards to what can be expected feature-wise from the Galaxy S10 series, the largest of the three expected smartphones will ship with a total of five cameras (three on the rear and two up front). The other two, on the other hand, are expected to stick to a singular sensor up front and just two on the rear. Internally, however, all three will be powered by the same Exynos 9820 processor.
Presently, the Galaxy S10 trio is expected to make its official debut at MWC 2019 in February. If this is accurate, sales should commence towards the middle of March. In terms of prices, the Galaxy S10 and S10+ will likely be aimed as direct competitors to the iPhone XS and XS Max. Separately, the cheaper Galaxy S10 model could rival Apple’s new iPhone XR.
