FitbitOS 3.0 launches for Versa and Ionic smartwatches, here is what's new
Fitbit's smartwatch business took a fortune turn with the launch of the Ionic and Versa smartwatches, as well as Charge 3 fitness tracker, the more reason for the company to try and up its game with improvements to the proprietary operating system that powers its products.
FibitOS 3.0 is a major release that brings some improvements and new features to the Versa and Ionic smartwatches. The update has already been released in North America today, but it will take a few days for the roll-out to complete.
In any case, if you own either of the two Fitbit smartwatches, you'll notice many improvements such as an upgraded Fitbit Today dashboard, goal-based exercise modes, and on-device quick logging for food and weight. Also, the folks over at Fitbit added new apps line TRX, Noonlight, GOLD'S AMP for Fitbit, Fitbark, and more.
The new Fitbit Today dashboard features additional tiles like sleep, weight, water, and food. Furthermore, the Fitbit app gallery has also been updated, while the new apps mentioned earlier can help you stay on task and be effective while working out. The 15+ exercise including running, biking, yoga, and swimming, help with that too.
Once you get the update, you'll be able to take advantage of these new apps and improvements as well, so make sure to download it when it shows up on your smartwatch.
