Apple drops minor update that iPhone users need to install now

On September 19th, Apple disseminated iOS 13. Five days later, as expected, iOS 13.1 and iPadOS were rolled out. With iOS 13.1, the U1 Ultra Wideband chip inside the iPhone 11 family was enabled. This could provide the tracking capability for Apple Tags and also allows an iPhone user to find another iPhone user nearby. The update also added the ability to share a user's ETA from the Apple Maps app and record video with a transparent or invisible background for editing purposes.

But Apple also recognized that some bugs needed to be exterminated and exploits closed, so today it pushed out iOS 13.1.1. With this update, the vulnerability that allowed third-party QWERTY keyboard apps to leak an iPhone user's personal data over the internet is removed. And iOS 13.1.1 will help those who have been experiencing a faster battery drain than usual on their iPhone after installing iOS 13.

And there is even more. With the update, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max users will see an improvement in how well Siri recognizes their task requests; iOS 13.1.1 fixes an issue that could cause Reminders to sync slowly and also prevents Safari suggestions from turning back on without permission after being disabled. And if you back up the data on your iPhone often, you might be happy to see that iOS 13.1.1 fixes a problem that prevents the device from restoring files from backup.

Even though iOS 13.1.1 is an incremental update, it should be installed by all iPhone users

Even though this is a minor update, it does need to be installed on your iPhone. Meanwhile, iPadOS 13.1.1 has also been released today by Apple. This is the first incremental update to the iOS-based dedicated tablet operating system developed by the tech giant.
