Is What. CD worth the effort?

Has anyone got experience with What. CD, and if so, can they tell me if they are going to have the rare classical music I want and can't find because it's out of print unavailable and or outrageously (prohibitively) priced? I'm hesitant to put the time and effort into trying to get invited or go through the interview thing if they aren't going to have what I want inside: Sherchen's full Beethoven cycle with the RSI, Paillard's Royal Fireworks (from the Time Life vinyl set) to name a couple.
I gather from what little I've gleaned about What CD that they are psycho about everything being lossless formats, so the audio quality I crave wont be a problem, but are they like to have the kind of content I desire?

Do you mean they (What.CD) are brutally hard (impossible) to get into or that they ban people at the drop of a hat once you're in?

Regardless, many thanks for turning me onto "rutracker.org" they look delightful.

Thank you for your swift reply and the alternate option.

It's not that hard to get in.
Invites are rare but you can get in through their interview system (which is always open, i guess).
If you are involved in trading or selling they will ban you instantly, only if they find out

It's definitely possible to get an invite to What.cd, but yeah you're very likely to be banned over there once you're in.

If you're still looking for other tracker options PM me with some of the titles/artists you're looking for and I can do some searching around

What.cd is good for a real ultimate music fanatic. For the average user, signup on rutracker and be happy, what.cd surely isn't worth the effort in such a case. That's why i gave away my account.I'm not a music fanatic.I don't listen to rare music that often. And whatever i want, i find elsewhere, sooner or later, because usually i download from somewhere else, i find sites with hard to maintain ratios as huge burdens.I'm not into lossless so much either.A good old fashioned mp3 v2 is good enough for me, most of the times.

I'm plenty serious (Psychotic even) about my music (such that I'm biting my nails waiting for Schiit to send me the usb upgrade for my Bifrost so I can actually listen to some of the Hi-Rez LP rips etc. I've pulled down off the internet), but the WhatCD's interview process seems complicated and obstructive, I dont want to get "judged" or rejected for the relatively crap speed of the DSL service the house has switched to, and besides, I'm not actually "seriously" planning to slit my wrists over not having quality digital rips of the Fritz Busch, Scherchen, and other stuff I'd like to have but can't get.

rutracker is a solid option like you say and has lots of good stuff woth having so I'm going to savor the few slices of good bread I find there and not gripe about the mp3 mold that's infected a good chunk of their loaf.

Thank you for the advice and your time.
