So guys I love to download torrents but recently few torrent sites have been taken down here in Montreal Canada. Should I go for a VPN? I was reading an article of purevpn review on vpnranks and the users recommend of it highly especially for torrenting! What do you guys suggest ?

Don't ever believe in a VPN provider like PureVPN. Have you heard of rumors about it?
I still hear that people in Canada are familiar with torrenting, but a protection tool is needed when MPAA even paid a visit to a far-away developing country because of online streaming piracy. I recommend PIA, NordVPN, AVG,... let's say wellknown VPN providers and VPN provided by famous companies. Please VPN all the time torrenting. Don't use proxy. VPN providers always recommend VPN when torrenting instead of using their proxies with https announce urls. VPN or secure ftp will protect you from most legal issues unless you make silly mistakes.

I'd love to suggest using a seedbox as you don't need to care about keeping your torrents seeding, there are many seedbox providers. May I suggest one seedbox provider?, it is seedbox.cc It's a good provider with perfect speed. Its bandwidth is not huge, 2TB/month for the cheapest packet and you can't do much with 2TB of bandwidth; but when you just want to download what you need, 2TB is still a huge amount of bandwidth. There are also many perfect seedbox, vps, servers. How to use seedbox? Just leech and seed what you want for a time (don't HnR), use file transfer to download what you need to your device (using ftps, secure ftp). You're safe when all is encrypted and protected. You should choose a seedbox with a high ftp speed.

Price is always a matter that counts, have a wise choice.

Personally I would suggest a seedbox and use NordVPN or the seedbox VPN. But you should never do anything regarding trackers without some layer of protection. I personally use a bootable thumbdrive and linux for all my activity along side of my VPN. It may be overkill or not even worth doing, but it gives me peace of mind. I have used NordVPN for years and love the service. Best of luck!
