ssl peer certificate or ssh remote key was not ok

I got this error message with only one tracker while using my seedbox with rtorrent interface
I didn't try other clients or other seedbox interface

any idea?

One the tracker's SSL certificate is out of date or they changed to self signed certificate.

The seedbox cannot identify that certificate.

so how can i use this tracker and download normally?

Hi Blitz

Check if you can accept the certificate.If not then remove the file from the tracker; redownload the torrent file from the tracker and start seeding again.

If this too does not work then /etc/ssl/certs - go to this location and edit that file and remove the cert associated with the tracker.

Reconnect to the tracker website and download the file again.

I have just contacted my seedbox provider and the told me that they are blocking this tracker as of being scammers

they told me this:

"The specific tracker is banned on our network, because they are a network of scammers, and committed credit card fraud on us on many occasions."

I also searched their forums and people using the same seedbox have exactly the same problem

So the seedbox server does not trust the certificate of the particular tracker.

that is what they told me and warned me not to use this tracker as they are well known scammers

Yes,the tracker might change the certificate and the domain like .me to .tv and the seedbox will automatically trust the cert.

So it is better to stop using the tracker itself.

I'm curious what tracker is a network of scammers.
