I've been looking at building a movie/tv show collection. I decided that I am ok with x264 BD/DVDrips. The problem is if you go back further than 2012 everything is xvid e.g. with supernatural everything earlier than season 8 is xvid. Are there any groups or trackers that have quality x264 sd rips of older content?

SDBits for both movies and tv shows, mainly classics for TV = dvdrips
x264.me for movies and occasional tv packs .. both at 576p and 480p = dvd/bd rips
HaB and TC of Tehconnection for movies at 480p = dvd/bd rips
HiSD of BTN for tv packs at 576p
and Karagarga for everything quality.

Thanks for your help Dohaa. Can you tell me the average size of the 576p tv packs and movies? Do you know of any other trackers that have HiSD releases, since it's not easy to get an invite for BTN?

I understand your frustration, as I'm always looking for that sweet spot of size/quality ratio. Unfortunately, there aren't many HiSD available outside of BTN, IPT has some but still far less than what they actually have on BTN. I also remember finding Pushing Daisies on TorrentDay, which is not on IPT.

Thanks Dohaa. Looking at the trackers you mentioned, which one would you recommend? Preferably one that's mostly easy to get into.

The easiest one is definitely TehC.
