How to speed file transfer from seedbox to pc with filezilla or similar?

    Hi mates!!

Is there any way to speed up the transfer of files between the seedbox and the pc?

The problem is that I download fast with the seedbox but when I pass the seedbox files to my pc it takes too long, it transfers to 1.6 mb if I do well.

Help please, I think this thread will help us all

You are limited by your home connection speed. You can only get the speeds you pay for from your ISP. What speed are you supposed to have? 1.6mb/s seems slow even for a home connection but that works out at about 15mbit, which might be right.

@multipack My speed is 10 Mb, is what the contract says. But in the speedtest goes up to 14.5 Mb or a bit more, but I download to 4.6 Mb if I do well, my speed is usually 1.8 Mb of download.

So the Filezilla transfers is not a transfer if not a download?
I understand friend, then the only solution is to hire a faster internet, right?
Thank you very much for your answer friend

Ookla Speedtest is becoming less of a test these days. They co-locate their server/service in the ISP facilities and they get paid to do so, so that ISP can claim high speed and favorable ping times. Try using other speed test services such as testmy.net.

That said, try to download some torrent such as Ubuntu Linux directly onto your PC to get a good idea about your download speed. If it is in line with what is promised then problem is somewhere else. I have never used a seedbox so I can't say much but it would be wise to check FTP configuration; there may be some unintended cap on FTP transfer speeds per connection or per IP.

Note: Silly point but I hope you didn't forget to stop seeding while you were downloading stuff from your seedbox to your PC.

Mbit and Mbyte are two different things. If you have 10MBit speed then you will download at around 1Mbyte per second, so you are getting the correct speed it sounds like. The only solution is faster internet unfortunately. All the more reason to have a seedbox though!
