I've been using utorrent for like 1 years now. I was using torrent for downloading movies and I had no idea what I was doing. About 2 months ago I was downloading something and download speed was very slow so I quickly searched on google and change some settings after that my seeding stops at ratio 1 but I want to seed more than that but I have no Idea what I've done and how to fix it. I tried some tricks from google but it didn't work out. Hope you guys help me.

Limit your ratio to 1.0 on your torrent does not help you increase your speed when speed depends on peers and your connection, your port forwarding..... Ratio control just helps your torrent come into queue when it reaches 1.0
Here are a solution that I can help you:
- Come to Preferences -> Queueing to see if you set ratio to any specific value or not. Change the ratio setting if you find something wrong.
- Right click on your torrent to see what's the matter with it. You can delete your torrent and add it again so your global settings will have effect on it immediately.
If you don't have many torrents that need to be seeded, exit utorrent and delete .dat files in roaming utorrent folder, type %roaming\utorrent to browse that folder, start utorrent again, you will have default settings. (you may add those torrents again because there're not many torrents)
Don't modify anything in utorrent or in any client if you don't know what the change is. But there are lots of settings that need to be changed. Just change them when you're required to do so, say, disabling your DHT, disabling Peer Exchange for example....

It's always best to run the Setup Guide within uTorrent.

Select your upload speed, choose the closest server to your location (it may do it automatically.) Then simply click Run Tests.

Do you see a green circle with a tick in the bottom right corner of uTorrent?

As for your original question regarding uTorrent stopping at 1:1 ratio, check Queueing in Options > Preferences.

You may have enabled Seeding Goal limit upload.

About port forwarding, it's always best to manually check whether you have config-ed your port forwarding successfully or not. This will give you a more accurate confirmation.

Visit a (or some) port forwarding checker website, type in your IP address and the port that you have set open. If the result is "success", port forwarding properly config-ed. Modify your port on your client to that "open" port.

utorrent built-in port forwarding checker does not work well, it might show that you have port forwarding (green) when actually you don't.

Go to Queuing in the options, set the ratio/time you want, check the box next to "Limit the upload rate to" and write 0. If you simply want to allocate less bandwidth, use a non-zero value. If you want seeding to take priority over downloading, turn on "Seeding tasks have higher priority than downloading tasks", which will make your downloads get queued. 0 means 0% for the ratio, -1 is infinite.

-1 is used so you can have all torrents seed forever by default, and let you manually set a seeding ratio on each individual torrent's properties so that only those torrents stop. For this to work, you must still check "Limit the upload rate to" and write 0.
