    HD-MKV.me Timing Out

    HD-MKV.me has been down for several days now. No message page comes up, just timing out. Hoping it's not gone as this is my primary user site. Does anyone have any info on what's going on?

    Yeah, this is my primary site too. I noticed last week that I was one of the very few to donate, so I'm not sure if it's down for a bit as the server costs haven't been fully met since April/May (notice the lack of freeleech).

    I guess we wait, but it's pretty frustrating. My .torrents are still seeding, so at least the tracker is up

    Didn't even think to check if mine were still seeding. If the tracker is still up I guess that's a good sign. I had bought a Lifetime VIP, and even donated a couple times after that just because I like the site so well. At this point, the only other site I'm a member of is RevolutionTT, but maintaining a good ratio on that site is very difficult. I think I'm going to take a look at Usenet while I wait to see if HD.MKV comes back.

    Ha, I did the same, lifetime VIP and several donations. The Tracker is now fully down, no connections and no seeds Very frustrating! I have CouchPotato, SickBeard and SabNZBd running all pretty well, it's all down to which usenet provider(s) you choose!

    There is a pretty thorough guide HERE, last updated April 2015.

    I personally use AstraWeb, I can recommend, but have a good shop around as I haven't recently, yet that was the best for me last year. Keep a look out for providers' amount of connections, retention, monthly limits and what security they offer, most use SSL, and there is no P2P so there really is little risk with Usenet!

    Also, torrent-wise, consider (in order);

    hd-space.org
    iptorrents.com
    bit-hdtv.com

    I just bought myself a 1 month VIP to get in to HD-Space as I can't be faffed to mess with trading invites! It's (dare I say) better than HD-MKV. IPT is a classic, very good but tough to keep positive ratio, and bit-hdtv is a good TV tracker. All private, of course!

    Thanks Cahoots! I downloaded the Usenet Guide pdf so I can read at my leisure. At one time, I had an invite and joined HD-Space. But, when HD-MKV offered such a great deal for lifetime VIP I just used them exclusively, and HD-Space dropped me for inactivity (I guess). I'm with you on the invites and I might take the same route you did with HD-Space. Regarding Usenet, I haven't signed up with any service yet, but was looking seriously at Usenetserver. Anyway, thanks for the great info!

    I think the have domain issues like kickass.to when the change domain names here and there. Also i notices some servers dont accept tracker sites cos they promote piraacy and all the stuff , i think this may \be reason

    Good plan! There are plenty of resources out there, it can all seem a bit daunting at first. I remember I looked at UseNet 3 or 4 times before I decided to invest as I couldn't get my head around it at first, so to have such clear and concise info available in a few clicks is a god send. Also worth having a look at setup/config guides for SickBeard (or Sonar), CouchPotato, SabNZBd (or GrabIt), etc as these were invaluable to me!

    I did the same, and to be fair, with their internal release request area, there was no need to venture anywhere else. I only hope they come back up as I have (had) somewhere near 6TB of credit!

    Usenetserver, Newshosting, NewsDemon, Astraweb and EasyNews were the top 5 exactly a year ago, yesterday.

    I personally use AstraWeb, and I don't think there is much in it for me to switch, although I hear good things about EasyNews, too.
