Question Can i seed torrents to a tracker if i got it somewhere else?

So, i know some people may call it cross seeding, but i don't think it is. Cross seeding is when you want to share the same file to 2 trackers, but in my case i have my own library that can help with my ratio. My idea is to download the torrent from the tracker site, then point it to the file that i already have, then i would force recheck the file and start seeding immediately. would that work or is it considered cheating? i can't see this is referenced in any of the trackers i have but i want to make sure.

It's perfectly legal. As long as the torrent consists of identical files with the ones in your library you are good to go.

I would also check with your tracker to make sure you can share. you might need to create a new torrent file. In other words; if you get the file from tracker A and the torrent is file_releaseG, upload it to tracker B with a different name such as file_releaseF and give proper thanks to the OG uploader. That is typically what I do. I hope it helps, but you should always check the FAQ and rules for the trackers to be safe.
