    My experience with CafeCloud.fr

    Hey guys,

    I registered with CafeCloud couple months ago and so far I like the service.
    Registration is easy, you get access to your seedbox within 30 mins.

    They claim to be a non-profit organization, and judging by their rates, I believe them. Their prices are competitive.

    They offer 1Gb/s Unlimited Bandwidth, VPN, Support, FTP, Plex, and KodExplorer.
    They also offer a backup as an add-on (aka RAID 1) for extra 1€/m, so it's not included by default.

    Pricing:

    250gb --> 3€/m
    500gb --> 6€/m
    1tb --> 10€/m
    2tb --> 20€/m

    I signed up for 250gb with no backup and prepaid for 12 months.

    I had couple small issues like unable to delete some folders from my explorer, or the calculated space on my console wasn't refreshing when i deleted data but all got resolved within 24hrs after creating a ticket.

    The BIG issue was couple weeks ago when my service became inaccessible. I was getting errors when trying to log in to my Console or my Seedbox.

    I didn't know if it was a problem on my side or theirs, I did my troubleshooting and tried all i could think of (cleanup, different browsers, private mode, etc) so I created a support ticket attaching error scr shots.

    Within couple hours I received a reply stating that 1 of their HD got bad and they had to replace it. It took them couple days to fix the issue and in the end it was a motherboard and not the HD. They ended up changing both. (I wished i was notified of this problem right away, it would have saved us both the time of "back and forth" support replies, but they didn't)

    Since i didn't have a backup option, all my data was lost. I had some backed up on my PC but most of it was on my seedbox.
    To avoid Hit&Run I had to re-downloaded and re-seeded everything I had.

    After resolving the issue, my service was back up and running. They offered me 2 extra months free of charge as compensation, which I found insulting, so i countered.
    We agreed on extra 6 months + backup option enabled free of charge.

    Support was friendly, quick replies and seem to want to help you.

    Conclusion:

    If you're like me, looking for your 1st seedbox + something cheap, I'd recommend them.
    It's a good seedbox to get the idea and have a feeling of what seedbox is. They are not perfect but at least they're trying to help when something's wrong, which is more than i can say for many cheap seedboxes out there, and I've read quite a few.

    Since that motherboard incident, i haven't had any issues and speed is good.

    Hope this helped
