But you can't just buy them...

You can now be the owner of a Charli XCX-branded Tamagotchi.

The pop star now has her own range of the handheld digital pet, but fans can’t just exchange money to get their hands on them.

The XCX Tamagotchis are currently only available as a prize in a new competition launched by the musician. She is asking fans to create their own 1999-themed playlist in one of four categories – Girls v Boys, Movies, Rap Stars, or Love Songs.

To enter, fans can head here to start creating their playlists.

XCX released ‘1999’, her collaborative single with Troye Sivan, last year. The video for the track saw the pair reference Titanic, Spice Girls’ ‘Say You’ll Be There’ video, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, American Beauty, and more.

Meanwhile, the star has promised she’ll release a new album in 2019. In January, she shared a screenshot of a note on her phone that read: “New Years Resolutions. 1. Make an album. 2. Release it.”

“About time, right??” she captioned the post. The singer last released an album with 2014’s ‘Sucker’. Since then, she has put out two mixtapes – ‘Number 1 Angel’ and ‘Pop 2’ – both released in 2017.

In a recent interview, XCX suggested that she had written material to conform to a more commercial audience in the past, due to the chart success of her Iggy Azalea collaboration, ‘Fancy’. It was definitely a confusing experience, after ‘Fancy’, when things didn’t really go my way,” she said. “I didn’t become, like, this huge big artist or whatever. That was definitely hard at points for sure.”
