Pop Shop Podcast team also thinks Lewis Capaldi & Billie Eilish have a good shot at song of the year.
The Billboard Pop Shop Podcast team has offered up 2020 Grammy nomination predictions for album of the year, record of the year and best new artist, so now it's time for the final Big Four category: song of the year.

As a reminder, record of the year rewards the recording of a song and all the people (artists, producers, engineers, etc.) who contributed to the song, while song of the year -- the topic of our new discussion -- rewards the composition of a song and the songwriters behind it. And that's one of the reasons we like the chances for Taylor Swift's "Lover" in the category, given the fact that she's the lone songwriter credited on this perfectly subdued song. We also think the witty rhymes of Lizzo's "Truth Hurts," the heart-wrenching pleas of Lewis Capaldi's "Someone You Loved," the empowering platitudes of Maren Morris' "GIRL," and the proudly evil one-liners of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy" are strong contenders in the category.
